'Hand Forged Table'

This Hand Forged Table has its legs hand forged from mild steel, the feet are upset on the anvil to give them their flared appearance and then twisted in a large leg vice.

The legs of this beautifully unique table are hand punched with a hand hammer and chisel and joined together by large domed rivets which are heated up to a yellow heat and forged into place by hand to hold the table firmly together.

To finish off the stunning light English oak top I have used hammered rivets to give the piece focal point's on the top, drawing the eye and tempting you into looking at what might lie beneath.

The light English oak top has a very smooth tactile face that makes you want to run your hand over its surface, finished with Danish oil, It then has the lovely shift from one texture to another with the shift from hand forged steel to wood.

If you would like the top to be in a different wood let me know and I will look into getting a piece that will fit your needs, as witth all things if this is more expensive than the top shown the price will increase.

If you would like a much larger table in the same style contact me for a price.

The oak top in this piece was made and finished off by the Cabinet Maker Justin Smith.
